SUMMARY:REMEDi4ALL Webinar Series - Introduction to Clinical Trials
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a 3-part series aiming to explore and demystify clinical trials! \nMark your calendars for 11.00 – 12.30 CET 21st\, 28th February and 7th March as we take an early lunch to discuss clinical trials. \nEach session will build on the knowledge gained in the previous session – with session 1 being a real beginners guide and session 3 being a more in-depth look at who and what makes a clinical trial run successfully. \nWebinar 1: Why we do clinical research and what the process looks like for participants. This webinar will answer some of the most common questions raised by trial participants and patients interested in research. \nWebinar 2: Exploring different ways of conducting clinical trials\, particularly for rare disease. This session will explore how the patient voice can help inform trial design and outcomes. Our Rare Disease Day special! \nWebinar 3: Exploring different organisations\, processes and pathways for expert support when planning\, setting up and running a clinical trial.

SUMMARY:REMEDi4ALL Drug Repurposing Bootcamp for Academics
DESCRIPTION:Drug repurposing offers a faster\, more cost-effective way to develop treatments\, addressing urgent patient needs and unlocking opportunities for academic innovation. However\, the journey from a repurposing concept to a market-ready product is complex\, presenting significant challenges for researchers. The REMEDi4ALL Drug Repurposing Bootcamp for Academics is designed to support senior post-doctoral researchers and early-career principal investigators leading promising projects by equipping them with the skills and knowledge to navigate this pathway successfully. \nThis immersive\, day-and-a-half training programme combines expert lectures\, interactive discussions\, and working groups to cover key topics such as regulatory engagement\, collaboration building\, funding applications\, and science communication. By participating\, attendees will not only develop a clearer understanding of how to deliver real patient impact but also join the growing REMEDi4ALL community. \nTwenty fully funded places are available\, covering travel\, accommodation\, and access to this free training. Applications are open until February\, with reviews conducted on a rolling basis. \nFind out more information here: REMEDi4ALL Drug Repurposing Bootcamp for Academics \nRegister here!

SUMMARY:Cures Within Reach new funding call: Clinical trials to validate AI-driven drug repurposing
DESCRIPTION:We are excited to announce our upcoming webinar in collaboration with Beacon for rare diseases and Cures Within Reach!\nArtificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly seen as a powerful tool in the search for new treatments – especially through drug repurposing. By analysing large sets of data\, AI can help identify existing medicines that might work for different conditions – something particularly valuable in rare diseases. \nHowever\, do AI-generated predictions actually work when tested in real-life clinical trials? \nCures Within Reach is helping to explore this question through a new funding call. They’re inviting letters of intent for Phase I/IIA clinical trials that will test and validate AI-based repurposing ideas\, with a preference for rare disease! \nYou can visit https://bit.ly/cwrrfps for more information. \nIn this webinar\, we’ll cover:\n\nA breakdown of what this funding call is about\nAdvice from Cures Within Reach on what makes a strong application\nHow patient groups can get involved in applications\nA practical example of a patient group contributing to an AI-led initiative\nThe opportunity to ask any questions you might have to the Cures Within Reach team\n\nIf you’d like to learn more\, please visit Beacon’s website! \nTo get your ticket\, click here. \nWho is this webinar for?\nThis session is open to any patient group interested in learning more about this unique funding opportunity – including patient groups already involved in AI-driven clinical research\, as well as those looking to better understand how AI can support drug repurposing. \nNo technical AI experience is needed – the session is designed to be accessible regardless of where you are on your journey!
